Hi Sandra

I had such a fun day and learnt so much from you.

The art of composition was brilliant and my images look stunning.

You also showed me how to use bracketing and use of ND filters which I had not used before.

Later on in the day you showed me how to edit my images which  was a lot of value and educational to me.

On the whole I learnt a lot and you are an excellent tutor. I would strongly recommend your services to anyone.

Thanks for an excellent day.

Sandi treated us very well from start to finish on our Tour de Sandi on 26 April.  We received very clear guidance on how to find her, where to park & how to approach her home which is quite isolated.  We started out with the now famous view from her garden then proceeded to a number of fabulous sites for photography. At each location we received clear advice on the best places to park, the best angles & suggested compositional options.  Most of the places we visited we would never have found without Sandi's superb local knowledge & experience. We were also treated to a fountain of knowledge on the history of the area, local names & their derivations and even down to the breeds of sheep we were seeing.  We have previously paid for workshops with professional guides & photographers in a number of places but never before received such a treasure trove of advice & local guidance - all of this crowned by spending a day with one of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Thank you once again Sandi

. My husband Richard and I had a highly memorable weekend with Sandra in Swaledale, and learned a lot. Sandra is full of energy, and a fountain of local knowledge - knowing exactly where to take us to get all the best landscape shots. She even treated us to a trip to the Wensleydale Cheese Factory where we binged on various samples! Being a total beginner, I borrowed one of Sandra’s automatic cameras, which I found really easy to use, and managed to get some really nice photos with minimal hassle. Sandra was always there to offer her advice on how to frame shots to get the best results. Richard is a lot more technically minded, and Sandra lent him a very impressive manual camera, which he totally fell in love with! Sandra talked him through the settings, and was always there ready to answer any questions. After a short while, he was confidently snapping away, and came home with a hard drive full of great photos. This was the first time he had used a professional camera, and it has inspired him to look into buying his own. After a long day, we retired to Sandra’s cottage and reviewed our photos on the PC. Sandra enthusiastically shared her Photoshop editing knowledge with us, and also her homemade wine – which was amazing! Sandra was very hospitable, although don’t tell her this bit … but the real star of the weekend was Nell the dog, who won both our hearts!

Last year I had the pleasure of doing the Tour De Swaledale with my friend Sandi. She showed us all the amazing picturesque locations around the wonderful village where she lives, from the quaint local village of Gunnerside, with its little roads and fab little smithy with old crusty windows, to the church with its quaint gates and huge clock tower, of Muker,  then up to the sweeping vista of the Buttertubs pass where breathtaking views awaited and finally, the icing on the cake the magnificent Hardraw Force, (Wensleydale) waterfall. Good thing was that all were accessible via car and the waterfall was just a short walk through the back of the local pub (Green Dragon, Wensleydale) where great photo opportunities awaited.

Sandi knows the area well, the local tales, and info that make a visit there all the better. Even better she is filled with such enthusiasm that it is hard not to join in. I actually love where she lives and would move there tomorrow if I could. She may yet get a lodger!

If you get to meet with Sandi, you will get nothing but 100% enjoyment from the local area and a hostess that is just the tops.

would like to say a massive thank you to you Sandi for making me feel welcome and for the excellent photoshop workshop. The workflow that she showed me and the way she explained it was in a way I could understand, which made the learning process simple and easy. Everything I wanted to know was covered and I now feel I am able to use photoshop with ease. I would highly recommend you to anyone who wanted to learn photoshop. The whole experience from start to finish was very informative and clearly explained.
